Who we are and what this is

OddsOut is provided by OddsOut Lda, registered at Rua dos Álamos 22 B-2 J, 9000-202 Funchal, Portugal, tax number 519558456. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

These are the rules for using OddsOut. They are written to be read, not skimmed. If something is unclear, ask us at support@oddsout.app.

What OddsOut is, and is not

OddsOut is a self-help tool for gambling recovery: a day counter, a savings tracker, a private journal, an anonymous community, an AI companion and quick access to helplines.

OddsOut is not medical care, therapy, or an emergency service. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services or a helpline in your country.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18, or the legal gambling age where you live if that is higher. You must be able to enter a binding contract. You may not use OddsOut if we have previously closed your account for breaking these Terms.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@oddsout.app if you think someone else has access.

You can delete your account at any time from the app settings.

Community rules

The community exists so people in recovery can support each other without giving their names. To keep it safe:

• Be kind. No harassment, shaming or threats.
• No gambling tips, odds, promotions, referral codes or links to gambling sites.
• No sharing of other people's personal information.
• No spam, advertising or impersonation.
• Do not post anything illegal or that you do not have the right to share.

Odd, the AI companion

Odd is an artificial intelligence. It can be wrong. It can misunderstand. It is not a substitute for a professional, and it cannot call for help on your behalf. Use your own judgement and, when in doubt, talk to a person.

Subscriptions and payments

Some features may require a paid subscription, billed through the App Store. Prices are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.

Your content

You own what you write. You give us a licence to store, display and moderate it so the app works as intended. Journal entries are private to you. Community posts are visible to other members under your anonymous name.

We may remove content that breaks these Terms and may suspend or close accounts that repeatedly do so.

Our content

The OddsOut name, design, text and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial recovery. Do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or scrape it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep OddsOut running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app first.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on the app, including any gambling-related loss. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Ending your use

You may stop using OddsOut at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, with notice where the law requires it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Funchal, Portugal, without prejudice to consumer protections in your country of residence.

EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
